The country's oldest farmers' market, in the heart of Amish country occupies a beautiful 120 year old red brick building chock-full of local character.
Open Tuesdays and Fridays, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturdays, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm year-round; the market is also a great place to buy souvenirs.
The People's Place Quilt Museum is located
on the second floor of the historic Old Country Store.

"Living the Experience" - Underground Railroad
“Living The Experience”® is a spiritual reenactment of the Underground Railroad in ChurchTowne of Lancaster, PA. The reenactment is performed at Historic Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, which served as an original station on the Underground Railroad, first African Church in Lancaster City, and first African school established by free Africans in Lancaster City.
